Our Sawmill Was Born

The roots of our family of companies began in 1983 -

Kendrick Forest Products began as a small logging and sawmill company with twelve employees.

After rapid expansion throughout many new branches of what is now Kendrick, Inc., a mission of sustainable forestry led to brainstorming the use of our shims and byproduct.

Utilizing the shims from our sawmill paired with groundbreaking printing technology brought right to our Edgewood, Iowa facility - a brand new company was born: shimlee.

After shimlee. launched during the summer of 2017 as an online-based photo printing service we have been ever-expanding our product lines to preserve your memories in beautiful, handcrafted, and unique ways.
