Refund & Exchange Policy
We strive to create the best experience for our customers and want you to love the products you receive.
All of our products are made to order, meaning they are produced specifically for each individual purchase rather than held as inventory. Because we offer both shimlee.™ custom photo prints and Kendrick Home decor pieces, the policies below outline how exchanges or replacements are handled for each product type.
Shimlee Custom Prints
One thing that makes a shimlee.™ wood print one-of-a-kind is that there will never be another just like it. Every print is influenced by the tone and grain of the wood.
Due to the individualistic nature of printing on naturally sustainable North American hardwoods, each shimlee.™ wood print will be unique. Because each piece is custom and made to order, we do not offer reprints, returns, or refunds for wood grain or wood tone variations.
The shimlee.™ Quality Assurance Team does their best to ensure the images we receive are of high enough quality to print on the selected size boards by having resolution minimums built into the website. Because each shimlee.™ is custom and made to order, we cannot offer reprints, returns, or refunds if the printed image is not of sufficient quality due to the resolution of the image submitted.
Please make sure you triple-check your submissions for any errors with imagery, resolution, cropping, missing or incorrect information, capitalization, mistakes, and typos. These types of errors do not qualify for reprints, returns, or refunds.
Any customer who is not completely satisfied with their original order may contact customer service to discuss their options.
Kendrick Home Products
Kendrick Home products are made to order and produced specifically for each purchase. Because of this, we are unable to accept returns or offer refunds for buyer’s remorse, change of mind, or ordering errors.
If your Kendrick Home item arrives damaged or there is a manufacturing defect, please contact us within 14 days of delivery with photos of the damaged product and packaging. Once reviewed, we will gladly offer a replacement or exchange for the same item.
As with all wood products, natural variations in wood grain, tone, and texture are part of the character of the product and are not considered defects.
Damage or Production Errors
If there was an error in production or shipping that we determine to be our fault, we will replace the item at no charge to the customer.
If your item was damaged during transit, please take photos of the damaged product and/or packaging and email them to hello@shimlee.com within 14 days of delivery. Once we receive the photos, our team will review the issue and provide next steps for replacement.
Additional Notes
- After 14 days from delivery, orders are no longer eligible for replacement consideration.
- All sales are final on stock/licensed artwork or custom-sized products.
- If you have questions about image resolution before ordering a shimlee.™ print, we recommend printing your photo on paper at the size you plan to order. This will not show wood grain but will help you evaluate image clarity.
